Langstrup cellar brew

Join us on a taste journey in hand-brewed beer, where passion, quality and good ingredients are at the centre. At our beer tasting, we present Langstrup Kælderbryg's selection and tell the story behind the brewery, the brewing process and the individual beers. A cosy and attentive experience with a focus on taste, aroma and good craftsmanship. The beer from our own brewery can be purchased in the shop as draught beer during opening hours.

The story

Langstrup Kælderbryg was founded by three young boys. One boy had a dream of being self-sufficient in food and drink. The second boy just wanted to play around and explore the different possibilities. The third boy was the more nerdy one and liked to familiarise himself with the process. In the logo, the three boys are symbolised by the three barrels.

Their interest in beer started in their teenage years where they laid the foundation for which beers they each liked to drink.

The first brew they made was brewed in 2014 in a basement in Solrød, This was brewed on two 25 litre soup pots and a gas stove from the 70s. Everything went wrong, but it turned into some kind of beer. Their interest was vague and they continued to enjoy brewing and over the years they got better and better.

Langstrup kælderbryg only brews beer we like to drink ourselves. Our secret ingredient is pure raw natural family cosiness and love for beer. In 2021 we started building the brewery at Boeslunde camping. It was completed in March 2022. It was somewhat delayed due to a pandemic (COVID) and a war in Europe. But we managed to get the brewery up and running.

The beer from the brewery is produced from pure raw materials. We do not use any additives. This gives a variation in the beer that we find exciting. The reason for the variation is that the raw materials are different from time to time due to sun, wind and weather. We don't pasteurise our beer before aging as this would destroy the natural development of the beer. This means that if you taste beer from the same batch, it will taste different over time. Furthermore, we do not add carbonation to our beer, we post-carbonate. We do this in the kegs with the yeast cells that also produced alcohol during fermentation. We do not filter our beer. We like as many of the flavours to be in the beer as possible.

Our biggest vision is to provide an experience of the pure natural flavour of beer as we believe it should be.
